Since you only have to train Spellcasting and don't have to worry about spell slots or which schools to train, you get early access to a lot of combinations I never really got far enough to play with before. I've been playing a few Djinni characters after never sticking with spellcasters for more than a hot minute and I think they work really well as a kind of introduction, despite the eccentric mechanic of using HP for spellcasting.
